We had a smashing time last night at one of the Doncaster Literature Festival events held in central Doncaster. Sam had been asked to talk on the process of developing a screenplay from a novel, and writing for screen generally, and a good audience listened attentively as she went through her experiences and the process in discussion with her husband David J Howe.
After the talk there was a chance to grab some signed copies – including a rare film edition of her book ‘The Stranger in Our Bed’ – and to chat informally about writing and all that it entails.
A good time was had by all!
